Usually, I go with the second option \u2014 I like giving others a chance too.<\/p>\n
At least for another five minutes, because apparently that\u2019s the theme of the night.<\/p>\n
When the next \u201cfive-minute man\u201d finishes his business, I usually turn to my husband and say,\u00a0\u201cWell, looks like tonight\u2019s going down as a negative record.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anyway, new round. I feel like this one will go better \u2014 maybe he\u2019ll be the highlight of the night.<\/p>\n
And yes, he was.<\/p>\n
Three minutes.<\/p>\n
And yes, he came.<\/p>\n
And yes, already.<\/p>\n
And yes, in my mouth.<\/p>\n
And yes, without even asking.<\/p>\n
And yes, because he didn\u2019t even have the\u00a0time\u00a0to ask.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when I called it a night.<\/p>\n
These young guys \u2014 sure, they\u2019re ready to go again in ten or fifteen minutes \u2014 but I don\u2019t choose them again.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t care how many-minute records they plan to break next time.<\/p>\n
I think everyone takes from swinging what they can, what they want, what they get\u2026 because expectations and reality don\u2019t always match up.<\/p>\n
