I know that when we go on vacation to relax, we tend to see\u2014and show\u2014the sunnier side of life.<\/p>\n
But what if, even after several visits, the impressions remain positive?<\/p>\n
I could write about prices, roads, hospitality, etc., but this isn\u2019t about that.<\/p>\n
What I will highlight is that the island is very livable\u2014especially if you\u2019re a little \u201cdifferent,\u201d if you stand out in some way. Whether you\u2019re a naturist\/nudist, gay, trans, or a swinger, here you can live it freely.<\/p>\n
Acceptance and tolerance are at a very high level! People take everyone as they are\u2026 You can see someone with limited mobility going out to party, or whether someone is Black, thin, full-figured, gay, trans, straight, naturist, or even a swinger\u2014here everyone lives together peacefully.<\/p>\n
This is our third time here for two weeks, as tourists, naturists, and swingers.<\/p>\n
What does that mean?<\/p>\n
We\u2019re staying in a swinger hotel, where during the day and in the evening we can be both naturists and swingers. But since we\u2019re also tourists, we explore the island a lot with a rental car, visiting places that are less popular with tourists.<\/p>\n
People often ask us what a swinger hotel is like.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s exactly like any normal, well-kept apartment hotel: single-story apartments of about 40 m\u00b2, fully equipped. There\u2019s a restaurant, pool, pool bar, etc.<\/p>\n
The difference from a \u201cnormal\u201d hotel is that here there\u2019s an open sex play area, huge sunbeds around the pool (big enough for 6\u20138 people)\u2014obviously for sex. Except for the restaurant, pool, and reception, you can have sex anywhere. Next to the sunbeds there are small tables with condoms, wipes, and a trash bin.<\/p>\n
For us, the only real downside is that single men are not allowed\u2014neither as guests nor as day visitors. Only women and couples can enter as day guests.<\/p>\n
On the island, there are actually three swinger hotels and countless clubs.<\/p>\n
Out of the 14 days we spend here, we go to clubs 10\u201311 evenings, because there are great \u201cinternational\u201d parties. Plus, in the clubs there are single men, of every nationality and skin color.<\/p>\n
At the clubs, depending on consumption, a couple can have a really good time for anywhere between 10 and 50 euros.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve been lucky enough to travel a lot as both tourists and swingers, and yes, there are prettier and better places than Gran Canaria, with bigger and wilder parties elsewhere in Western Europe\u2014especially if you prefer lots of single men and huge orgies.<\/p>\n
But we keep coming back here, and will keep coming again, because what we experience here\u2014the mix of adventures and opportunities\u2014is what truly recharges us.<\/p>\n
